Ms. Palinski is the owner of Turning Point Counseling in Bourbonnais and has been a therapist serving the Kankakee County area for over 20 years. The office is located in Bourbonnais, Illinois. With over 18 years of experience as a therapist working with a broad spectrum of clients, she has spent the last 16 years specializing in Reactive Attachment Disorder and trauma. She was a CWSII in field of intake families, foster care and adoptions for over 25 years. In addition to being a specialist as a Reactive Attachment Therapist, and a guest speaker for many organizations, and presented in November 2011 at the Illinois Counseling Association Annual Conference in Skokie and presenter at the Illinois Mental Health Counseling Association in 2014.
Ms. Palinski does national trainings several times a year to educate professionals on Reactive Attachment Disorder, Trauma, Childhood Disorders and Parenting, step-parenting and alternative parenting, and burned out parenting. Ms. Palinski has taught at Kankakee Community College since 2002 in area of psychology, sociology, social work, lifespan development and abnormal psychology. She is a trainer for the State of Illinois foster PRIDE program and other programs offered by the state including Adopt Conversion classes, Educational Advocacy, Trauma and Attachment. Ms. Palinski has developed training manuals on Attachment and Reactive Attachment Children and on Childhood Disorders.

Ms. Palinski graduated from Western Illinois University with a B.S. in Psychology and graduated with from Governors State University with by M.A. in Counseling. Various approaches to therapy is used depending of the needs of the client. EMDR II is often used with severe traumatized children and adults to help them heal faster. Groups are also offered at different times throughout the year.

Nicole Stanek, M.A. , LPC

Mrs. Nicole Stanek graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Criminal Justice. While at Loyola, she minored in Women's Studies. Mrs. Nicole Stanek also graduated from Governors State University with a M.A. in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family. Mrs. Nicole Stanek has worked in various settings with individuals of all ages, couples and families. She has worked as a Domestic Violence Professional, Legal Advocate, and as a On Call Counselor for a residential facility that specializes in helping individuals and families cope with sexual assault.

Mrs. Nicole Stanek utilizes various approaches to meet the needs of each individual client. She has also been trained to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups by utilizing a systemic approach. This approach seeks to identify and address behavior patterns in people and their relationships with their significant other, family, and community.

Kelsey Billington B.A.


Kelsey Billington obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Clinical Psychology from Governors State University. She is currently working on her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Governors State University. Currently. She is currently interning at Turning Point Counseling Center, LLC and is accepting new clients. Once she obtains her Masters and passes the licensure exam, she plans on continuing to work at Turning Point Counseling Center, LLC as an LPC.
