ADHD Educational Support Group

Welcome to the ADHD support group.

Let me tell you a little about this group. In working with children for many years I have seen kids who are not reaching their potential due to issues such as problems staying focused, not completing work, and acting like they are bored or worse, being labeled as lazy when in fact their ADHD is getting in the way.

This group is designed to help them learn some skills, so that they have a good school year and for them to realize they are not the only one in the world that has these issues!

You may wonder what the monitoring program is about? I find that if the child’s progress is monitored on a weekly basis, it helps to catch problems early enough so that it doesn’t set the child back. Ever have a child that you believe is doing well, and they believe they are, to find out at the end of the semester they didn’t do well? Ever read on the progress report or hear in the parent/teacher meeting comments like “your child is missing assignments.” This program is set up to contact the school (upon school’s approval) on a weekly basis to check the progress so that issues can be resolved. To enact this program for your child, you will need to sign a consent form to release information from the school to this office so contact can be made. This is a voluntary program.

Please email the registration form to [email protected] Upon receiving the information, you will get conformation that your child has been registered.
